Default exhaust need help!

i'm installing new bars and need to remove the exhaust so i could get access to the transmission. anyways, while doing this i noticed that neither of my sensors on the exhaust are hooked up. I have a 2006 wide glide w/ a rinehart 2 into 1.

any reason these should be disconnected??

Are you running a Power Commander, or some other type of F.I. controller ? Most of them require the o2 sensors to be "eliminated" . Also, I have read on another forum that guys are running their bikes with them unplugged . Supposedly it improves performance ...?

I'm running a PCV and it called for the O2 sensors to be disconnected. That's probably what the case is with yours...that is if you are running a tuner.
