Change is a comin'!
The bike was originally Vivid Black, I reshot it in DuPont Hot Rod Black for a satin sheen. Scored a set of no-cat original pipes on ePay for $9.00(!) plus $50 shipping, so I hung up the original chrome pipes and used some Eastwood aerosol ceramic black on the head pipe, and media blasted the chrome stuff and shot it Hot Rod Black also. Hell, we use this stuff on engine blocks, we'll see how it holds up on heat shields and slip ons.
The fender struts got wrinkle blacked, and the rear signals were scotchbrite brushed with a ring of shiny chrome left for accent.
The front fender is wearing a Cherry Burst scallop to match my guitar, but I think it needs a pinstripe. We'll see if it stays, but I think the bike needs a little color somewhere.
It's been a long 30 hours, but I like it much better than stock.

Kinda hard to tell, but this fades from orange in the center to red around the edges. I think it needs a silver pinstripe, but I'm not steady enough... maybe next weekend.

Whatcha think?

Definitely clue us in on how the paint holds up on the mufflers and heat-shields. I'm still debating whether or not to powder-coat mine, or have them tanked and cerama-coated.
