All I know is that my "new" makeover gives me lots of room and is comfy to ride...and I think it looks good too!
I have a taller sissy bar with a rack to add even more room for longer trips, but my girl likes to lean on me and not the backrest so I picked up the short rail. I can't run my detachable stuff anymore so everything is now rigid.
Changed out my drag bars to some Carlinin Freeway Bars...they are wide but more comfortable. No comments on the tassles! My daughter already told me how gay they are!!
After getting my Corbin bags painted, then re-painted and adding the chrome, this is what we got:
The Rifle fairing actually blocks as much wind as my HD windshield did. The fairing looks too plain...was thinking of reshaping it and adding chrome edging but afraid I might ruin the paint...we'll see.
The backrest was made from a Wideglide seat and some steel c-channel and flat stock. It works well and i think it loks pretty good for a home-made job. I did have an upholsterer make the cover which makes it look good.
