Default I just want a solid answer...

...to where my 2010 Dyna frame was manufactured. I keep hearing all this talk about how much percentage my bike is American or overseas etc. I just want a straight answer. HD's website says Kansas City but I just want a confirmed answer and can't find one. Does anyone know?

How can we confirm something more than HD? If they says so, then take it for fact. If you think they're lying...how would we be able to know the truth?

And what does the percentage matter?

The percentage doesn't matter in the overall scheme of things. It plays a factor in trying to find an answer as to how much is being out sourced. I know the electronics, wheels, forks, and some motor components are made overseas. Which doesn't weigh on me for any determination of any kind. I just want to know where the frame is made for my own peace of mind. HD does list what is made there I know.

"Kansas City employees produce the SportsterŽ, DynaŽ and VRSC™ families of motorcycles from fabrication and finishing through final assembly to include the liquid-cooled RevolutionŽ powertrain for the VRSC V-Rod.
Your tour experience begins with an introductory video. Then it's on to the factory floor where you'll witness a wide range of operations from welding, laser-cutting and frame-bending, to polishing and assembly. You'll see fenders and gas tanks being formed, newly painted frames hanging on the line, and sophisticated robotic welding technology. You'll also see the RevolutionŽ powertrain assembled from crankcase to cylinder heads."
But is that frame from just raw material or from a bunch of straight pieces shipped from wherever?

Don't you think "laser-cutting and frame bending" was a enough of an indication that the frames were made in house?
