Default 2009 FXDL Tail Stop light question/help

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone with an 09 Low Rider know if the tail/stop light lens has a "clear" section on the bottom that would be the license plate light if the tag was relocated to the bottom of the fender below the tail light lens?

I'm asking because I pulled the trigger on a bike at distance. Going over the pictures I discovered the tag was relocated beneath the stop light. It's normally installed above and in pictures I can see there is a clear lens section on top of the stop light that acts as the tag light. I need to know if there is one beneath it and my searches for oem or replacement stop light lens don't show the underneath. Concerned that this could get me pulled over if there is not a "white" light to illuminate the tag.

Thanks anyone who can answer this for me.

I have an 07 Low Rider and the clear part is on the top. I know you can get lenses with no plate light but never heard of one with the clear lens on the bottom. You could get led lights that fit into the top mounting holes in the plate that would light up the plate and keep you legal. They are inexpensive and they would be wired into the running lights.......

Hi bobnehoc,

I sent you a message. Wasn't sure how to PM here so it's on your visitor area.

Thanks for responding. Yes I haven't laid my own eyes on the bike. Noticed this from a picture. It looks like they relocated the tag to below the tail light. I could see pictures of the top of tail light that shows clear so it lights the tag. Can't find any shots of the bottom side to know if it has a "clear" patch for a tag relocated below or not or if the underside is "solid" red lens. The original bracket was taken off (Can't find that oem part online to know cost of a new one or if I should be paying for it) They apparently covered the OEM original license plate holes with an adhesive reflector....... (Not sure of the distance between row of 3 and the 1 hole centered above or why they chose the reflector) I might not mind the plate relocated but it should be "lit" and I'm not sure that this one is.
