Rush Mufflers
I live in a congested area and in the morning I can start the beast and not wake everyone and just chugg on to the main road then crank on.
Love the sound of Rush.
With the 1.75 you don't need a fueler or remap. About as big as you want with stock fuel. I do use the Xieds to richen up a bit. Really helps without breaking the bank.
I just got a new 2011 SG Custom and am considering the Rush slipons with the 2" baffle. My question is are any other modifications required? Harley claims a stage1 and download.
If i can get by with just the slipons that would be fine with me. Gary did you have to add anything else? Does it run fine with just the slipons?
The 1.75s sound great, not much difference in them an the 2", maybe a little bit in the tone but just as loud at the 2" I had on a Nightster.
When I had the 2" on the sporty, dealer told me I did not need recal..
The bike runs fine with these pipes, if you add a stage 1, you will definitely have to remap

Shifter, if you just change the mufflers ( rush slipons ) you dont have to do any other mods such as the stage 1 download. If you change the air filter and the slipons then you need to start with the stage 1 download. I had 1.75 and 2.00 baffle. THe 2" sound a little louder and deeper. Not much though.
The rush 2.0s at 2000 rpm produce about 112.5 dB according to the local police chief when he measured mine, the limit in NH being 112. I had to get a note from the principle indicating I put the stockers back on.
I have run all three baffle sizes and the bark is about the same between them, the big difference is in the what I call the base tone, the low rumble. The 2.0s let a lot more of that through so they do sound better (covers up the bark if you know what I mean). Really sound good, but are loud. Spouse could hear me coming home over a mile away. The 1.5s also sound much better than stock and have a pretty good rumble to them. But they sound like they have more of a bark when you get on it as the deep rumble is toned down a bit. I can almost sneak home

The baffles are theoretically swappable, but it seems like there is a wide tolerance. My 2.0s slip right in and out without issue where I had to grind some of the 1.5 baffles to get them to slide in, and with some persuasion. On the web there are plenty of reports of just how much a PITA the baffles are to get out and plenty of others without an issue. So your mileage will vary. The baffles are held in with a bolt, it helps if you have a really long nose heavy duty pliers to not only pull the baffles but to get the nut started when you replace them.

i would have liked to have been able to hear the difference in person between the different baffle diameters prior to purchase, but that wasn't an option for me.
i think if i was doing it all over again, i would go with the 2.0 inch baffles in hopes that it was a little quieter, but i really do like the rumble these mufflers make.

I like the deep sound, but to be honest they are not very loud...
