That's what you use. You can get them at Lowes. They have different levels of "cut". I typically use the green pads and I have a gray finishing pad too.
Thanks for the comments. It's hard to be different without looking stupid IMO. Bikes should look a certain way to me and this was a "tasteful" way to do something different. I did as much as I could by modifying stock parts. I have 8+ hours in modifying my stock controls. The blackout thing is cool but a lot of people had done it when I started. I liked the finish when I first saw what Russell Mitchell was doing at exile way back so I thought I would try my hand at it. The devil is in the details.

Nicely done! Definetely something different, with taste!
Can you spill what kind of rear turn signal lights you got? I really like those low profile black ones. I also can't see where your front turn signals are located, but maybe I am not looking hard enough on the pictures.
Pheur the signal are Kuryakyn Strut Mount Mini Bullets. If you have fender strut cover on a 06 or newer Dyna you have to remove the cover to make them work. The front signals are Kuryakyn Mini Bullets mounts on the lower triple tree. It took some work and enginuity to get them there. Here are some pics.
