Default 2 into 1 Exahusts

Just bought a 2007 Vivid Black Street Bob. Was wondering if anyone has upgraded their exhaust into a 2 into 1. Was looking at the Rinehart 2 into 1. Has anyone heard these exhuasts? Want more sound, but don't want a headache from the loudness. Any recommendations and posts would be appreciated. Thanks

Black thunderheader. At idle, the best sound heard from a harley in my life. Cruising, rather mellow and sweet sounding. WOT, one of the meanest growls you will hear come from a motorcycle. Needless to say, I highly recommend a 2-1 exhaust. They are unique, they aren't dime a dozen (no offense to the SEII's, ok maybe a little), and they turn heads. Good luck.

Thanks for the info on the Thunderheader. I/m new to the EFI game...so another question. If I go with the exhaust, do I have to go with a Power Commander, etc. and all the other stuff associated with it.

I am also gonna give the thunderheader a thumbs up here. Their sound is great. It also produces more power. You will have to go with a power commander or sert. I myself am going with the PC. At the same time I would upgrade the air filter. Ive heard good things about the arlen ness big sucker so I have decided to go with it. screamin eagle also makes on that is similiar. good luck.

I too have the PCIII from fuelmotousa. There is a map that is setup for the thunderheader specifically. I have no backfiring or popping under deceleration which is very common. The bike does take another turn of the starter to fire up, but I understood that going in. The bike runs great, sounds great and is a lot of fun to ride. I installed the SE a/c, pcIII and thunderheader myself and saved a little money on that end also. If you decide to go with a SERT or the like, you will more than likely need someone else to install it. The pcIII stays on board all the time, and if you need to go back to stock for some reason, just remove it. No need to take it to the dealership. I'm very happy with my setup and I get a lot of compliments. I also like the RB racing 2-1 and the rinehart 2-1. You should check those out also. The 2-1 pipe may look weird to some, but the results can't be denied. They make more power. Many of the drag pipes and ground pounder types may actually net less power. Unless you have a bike that will be revved at high rpm most of the time, the short drag pipe will more times than not give you less power than you started with originally. The 2-1 will give you a very street-friendly powerband. Low and midrange is where its at. Good luck to ya.

My sig pic has an RB Racing 2-1. PM me if you have questions. I'd be happy to share my opinions, but don't want to repeat myself at everyone else's expense ;-)

While I am at it!,
thebestofindica, if it's not too much to ask, how much did the PCIII set you back? Better yet how much was the whole set up? Most sites don't list prices which scares me[sm=drooldude.gif]
