Threw a code

I threw the code for the rear o2 sensor stuck open or not responding, I think it was po154. Does this simply mean the sensor has gone bad or is it possible the wiring went out? Is there a way to check for one or the other?

Try swapping the sensors front to back. They just unbolt from the pipes and unplug from the wire harness. That will tell you if the problem exists in the sensor or elsewhere.
