Default Perplexed. Need input.

The general Harley discussion is not giving me any loving so I thought I would come over to the Dyna, where my comrades won't let me down. This is a copy and paste from another thread.

Ok so long story short my bike was wrecked and in a few short weeks it will be back better than new. I have been reading and reading and searching but I have a few questions. I am installing some LED rear turn signals from Harrison Industries. I have also ordered a side mount license plate that is NON-LED. My turn signals are also going to be Run/Turn/Brake signals. That way I can have more than just the side mount when I brake. I know I will need a load equalizer. However, If I buy the run/turn/brake module does that have a built in equalizer or would I need both. If you use one of these modules on a NON-LED light will it still work? Also I am not currently using front turn signals but when i do get some the Load Equalizer should work for the front turn signals? It has probably been addressed but again the search on here is confusing. Here are the things I am looking at.

If any of you know of better stuff for less money feel free to let me know. Thanks everyone

If you are only using LED's on the front OR rear (not both) you shouldn't need a LE. I put fronts on my FXDC and they flash normally.

I know the above are probably not cheaper, but they work great, and no need of an load equalizer.

You shouldn't need a load equalizer, however, if you are running a factory alarm that sometimes imterferes with the led lights. Some of the modules turn/tail/stop even have built in equalizers. But in a nutshell no you shouldn't need one and as far as halogen vs led you can mix/match without any fears. Good luck.

ok. By factory alarm does that mean the FOB key that I need cause other than that I don't know of any factory alarm. From what it sounds like when I do buy the run turn brake module my LED and incandescent side mount license plate should work. Thanks for the info. Hope it works. Cheers

Just install your lights - they'll work fine.

Yes that's what I meant by alarm. It will just throw a code but shouldn't cause any problems. Go for it.

Not sure on the newer bikes since some come with the RTB module, but on my 05 I did have to have a LE when only changing my rear turns to LED.
As I understand it, some if not all RTB modules have LE's in them.
