my fxdx has duel front disks, i want a 21 in front rim. cant find one that has duel disks. if i relace and re true it it would cost me more than buying a new 21. sooo my question is how hard is it to convert to single front disk, or can i put a duel disk some how on a new rim?
i would do that no problem but the spokes and a new hoop would cost and re trueing would cost way more than getting a new rim, thats not a cheap alternative
you need to contact a legit wheel company like ride wright wheels and get a price on a complete wheel. Putting a 21" on a FXDX will completely ruin the handling by the way.....

He's got apes and forward controls, think he cares about stinking handling?
idk apes and fwds and i would still put 500 on it that says my fxdx will out perform your fxd on any road!! ill take you guys's words for it on the 21 so NEVERMIND my original post
I put a 18 x 5.5 rear on mt StreetBob and a 21x 3.5 front and it handles way better than the 17 and 19 combo due to the increased ground clearance and wider tires.
If you go with a skinny 21 than I would say yes the handling will be worse, but honestly you cant really push a bike hard with forwards and apes to exploit any performance from the 19 thats on there, and the 120 sized 21 incher will handle great. I say grab a Jireh cycles 21 x 3.25 rim and have it laced to your stock spokes and nipples. The rim cost 60 bux shipped and a relace and retrue is like 50-75 bux..or free if you do it yourself.
I got in a wreck a while back and my brother was right on the side of me as it happen. ( someone pulled out in front of us). I ended up hitting the car on my street bob. He stopped 12" inches short of hitting the car on his fat bob. The duel disc really makes a huge difference keep em. As far as those ppl that ride with no front brake it looks nice in all but gees that sure as hell ain't for me after a broken hip and a head injury. Males u think twice about what u sacrifice off ur scoot for the "look" of cool

When I put the dual front brakes on my '06 StreetBob my braking distance from 50 to 0 mph went down more than 20%! From 95 feet to 75 feet. That's a car length and a half! And that can save a life. The FXDX dual brakes are great- and a great improvement in the kind of performance that saves lives. Ride safe. Jay
I will be selling my whole 2004 FXDX front end with master cylinder, brake lines, calipers with new Lyndall pads, 21" chrome laced wheel with chrome billet hub and SS spokes with Metzler tire. The head light is the chrome Nacelle from Harley.
No rust, pits and no road chips on the powder coated lowers. Hand polished upper and lower trees. They come with that funky looking gray alloy look from the factory.
I could just sell the wheel alone. It will come with the bearings and rotors.
It uses the 1" axle.
By the way, I have no handling promblems with the 21" wheel.
