Default wideglide lacing problems

i bought a 17x6 hoop and got it powdercoated black...now im lacing it up and cant get close to the offset needed with out one side of the spokes hanging on by just a couple threads...do i need a different hub?? i cant seem to win..i already ruined one set of spokes..im about ready to say heck with it and use the stock hoop..

I do most of the work on my bikes and vehicles myself but that's one job I would not even attempt...........

You shouldn't need any offset, both hoops will run in the centre of the hub. I have bulit heaps of wheels and the rim sits where it sits, the spoking pattern sees to that as all the angles are bulit in.

Sometimes wider wheels have a deeper drop center. I know when I did my wheel the spokes are offset sizes, I know there are indy shops around here that will provide lacing and trying services for pretty cheap.

You might be able to call Buchanan spoke also, they got me what I needed... good luck

i was lacing the wheel how the harley manual states..the rear wheel should have .615 to .655 offset to the rotor side...i think i will mess with again next winter..im just at my wits end..

Find a local bicycle shop....They do them pretty cheap.
