+1. Avon Custom Contours here too. Love 'em. They've got a grip like I've never experienced before. I've had several HD owners check mine out and say they're getting them. Similar to Renthals, but more affordable. HD finally realized a few months ago that Avon and Renthal were onto something, and created the Get-A-Grip people are talking about in here. But the Avon can be had for less than both of those. Honestly, I think all 3 of those feel more performance minded than the Kury Iso Grips.

I run the Avon Contour also. They're the same thing as the PM Renthal grips but more affordable. They are the best grips I've ridden with. I don't like bulky grips. These just fit my hands well.

I'm sure the Avon grips are great (some think maybe even better than PM), and they do cost less than PM's, but according to Avon themselves they are not the same. The rubber used in the PM Renthals is different than that used on the Avons. That was the info given to me by Avon when I was considering their grips last year.

^^^Correct. They just feel pretty much the exact same. But you reality, they're similar. I think you may be splittin' hairs here. Then again, I'm in the boat that likes the Avon more than the Renthal. Regardless of what rubber something's made of...in the end they're both a quality/grip rubber. In my opinion there's just no justifying the cost difference for a similar rubber. Even HD doesn't charge as much for their similar grips (Get-A-Grip) as Renthal. And everyone knows HD can screw you price wise on assessories with the best of 'em.

I took some scrap leather pieces I had and wrapped my grips with it and superglue'd it. Lasted 2 years and now they are coming apart. Was thinking about getting some new grips, but I can just re-glue for free. Or try the tennis racket grip stuff. Can't beat the price.

Have a set of the 1.3" diameter HD "Stitched" grips. Got them because I have small hands ( as most women do) and this allows me to get a better feel, less hand fatigue and less thumb numbness on the right side. I wish there were more of a selection of grips made in the smaller diameter. The other thing......... went into 2 HD Dealers as I was interested in their new "Get a Grip" line. Not ONE dealer had a display where you could touch or feel the product before purchasing. One would think they would have a set on a handlebar so you could get the feel of it before you bought them. Sometimes I wonder about their Merchandising techniques
