covering tank decals?
The only thing I don't like about my wide glide is the purple tribal flames on the tank. Not really my style. I've searched high and low for a set of oem decals to match the ones I have now in a different color but no luck yet. I want to paint the whole bike but that's gonna have to wait til next winter. Anyone know of a place where I can find something like that? I've been thinking about just going to a local graphics shop and seeing if they could make me a pair on the cheap. Thoughts?

The Flames are painted on, not decals. Your Idea about custom graphics is good. But may be $$$ remember the tank is curved.
What about having a good air brush artist go over them. Just a thought ?

I knew the feeling as my 05' was almost the same. I had the Black Cherry paint w/ silver tribals and didn't care for it. My solution? Scour e-bay for quite some time before landing with the paint set I have now. Which was a steal - $405 + shipping.

easiest way would be to have the tank repainted orig.color..or paint below the pinstripe..might be same price as custom decals and look a lot better..a good painter might be able to sand the clear/flames off and reclear..most of the price is in bodywork,you dont need much
