Default Big Bore Kit?

I own a FXDBI with Stage I SE A/C SEII pipes & SERT (Runs Good)

I am considering getting the SE stage II big bore kit.
The dealer wants $2300.00 for parts & labor.
Just wondering has anyone done it ?
Is this a good price is it worth it?

From what I have learned here, it sounds a bit pricey to me. Just buy the parts form zanotti's or chicago hd, and do the install yourself, and you'll save a bundle. But that is up to you. I dunno how to do that stuff...YET. I'll learn. Check out a couple of indie's and see what their quote is.

Is it worth it? You bet. Add in some 204 cams and the bike will be a sreamer (for a Harley).

$2300 isn't too bad a price if that includes the cams. If cams are extra, I'd pass. Find another dealer who is having a winter upgrade special or something like that.

If you have an Indy do it, or do it yourself, you may end up with some warrenty problems later. I'm a pretty fair chadetree mechanic, but I let the dealership do this job. Had it done before I took delivery of the bike.

As you pointed out I've only had the bike four months and I do have an extended warranty and would like to keep it

The price does include the cams & DYNO Tune

Thanks

I was thinking about the 103 for the Dyna myself, but for the money many recommend the 95 with the cams. Dealers around here are looking at $3800 for that on a winter special

You guys must realy like power, i can't see doing that to a low mileage bike [8D] But each to their own

now if i find a 2000ish Soft tail with some miles, that will be a horse of another color [8D]

I hope that includes an SERT and the dyno tune. Mine was $1600 with labor plus whatever the SERT cost me.

Worth it? Dude, look what I did (below). the 211 cams are awesome. 100 fp torque. Unbelieveable. Do it, and be careful afterward.

Price seems a little high; however, if your comfortable with the shops reputation-sometimes that is worth more in the long run...

Enjoy it
