Moneys tight and i will have to wait to build a bigger motor, sooo. Im gonna cam my 88" and buy some time...
Looked into andrews 37s, and Mackie 510, maybe se 204,
Can i go bigger on the stock motor to somthing that will also work good in a 95" with some headwork?????
one of the fellas had SE 253's in his otherwise stock 88in. T-Header and filter and some jetting to the stock CV and it ran pretty fvcking hard. Enough to keep up with the pack at 90+. Wasn't a stoplight murderer but could hold it's own. I've been eyeballing the Mackie stuff lately and may ditch my 257's in the near future for a set of his magic sticks.
The 37 would be a really good choice. My 95" made 100hp and 108tq with headwork at 9.8:1 compression. No pinging, 92 octane, ran great. I had to run 89 in it once when it was 85* out and it still didnt ping.
It will perform good in a stock motor, but really wake up with a 95".

The 37 is the go too cam from all i have read... Im just lookin for a nasty cam that will really wake up the 88.... Just talked to S&S and they recomended the 570c....
When i do the 95" im going with Mackie, i know that everything i do now will be worthless when i step up to Mackies setup,
Real world results for the 37 cams in the 88? Where do these cams come on at?
Im looking for a bigger hit in
the mid to topend....
I will do the 95" motor setup from mackie but its gotta wait, just want to get a little shot in the HP department until i can do BB
I had posted some characteristics of some of the popular bolt-in cams on another thread recently ... here it is again ....
Data was gleaned from a table on nightrider.com website and only represents a small portion of the data provided ... only the Andrews cams show a range of figures for their cams ....
From time to time, I am almost tempted to put a 4-degree advance sprocket on my 37 to move the lower range of the benefit down a few hundred RPM ....
