I have a 2001 Dyna Super Glide and the speedometer stopped working mid season. Not sure if the actual speedometer is bad or maybe the sensor? Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it (without paying $275 for a new one)?
Otherwise, I am looking a used electronic speedometer (no mount necessary) and it doesn't have to be HD brand. Thanks

 

Check your wiring and connections first if you haven't already. Could be as simple as a broken wire or connector vibrating loose.

 

I have a 06 fxdwgi and my speedometer quit working and my bike wouldn't idle . I replaced the speed sensor no help i replaced the speedometer no help. I finally took it to a dealer and it was a faulty wire from the speed sensor to the "ECM "

 

I have a 2010 Dyna Superglide Custom and the replaced the speedo with the one that has the tach in it etc. therefor the original speedo I took off is for sale Check to see if my bikes peedo will fit yours and let me knwoi if interested.
