Speedometer Issue
I hope somebody out there can help me. I ride a 2008 Road Glide. A couple of weeks ago my speedometer started acting up. I will be riding along and the speedo just quits. It may stay on zero for 2 seconds or it may stay there for 15 or 20 seconds. Sometimes it doesn't even get to zero before it "catches" and starts working again. I have looked and looked for a shorted wire or loose connection. Then I changed out the VSS. Changing the VSS seems to have helped, meaning it doesn't quit working as much, but it still does the same thing. Is there anything else that could cause this or am I just missing the short or broken wire? Any ideas????

Yes, it is just my speedo. Lights, tach, everything else continues to work perfectly. I replaced the sensor in the tranny today but that didn't fix it. That is what seemed to make it a little better, but it still does it. And on mine it is not occasionally. I can go 3 miles without it doing this. The worst thing is, as soon as the speedo quits, the speed adjustment on the radio volume quits working and you can't hear the radio.
