I had a sundowner on my streetglide. It was ok but I wanted more cusion for the long haul and the wifes comfort was important to me. Well I had a mustang on my Honda a few years back and didn't care for it either. I did however get the Harley Touring seat and was impressed. I love it.

It's a good deal at $229. Also I can easily pull it and go stock solo and I am good for the solo ride. Oh, and the wife likes it too.
Went with a HD pillow top touring seat for the long haul. The ladies love it. I was never crazy about the bulky look, but the comfort more than makes up for it.
I took the girlfriend for the first ride on my new 2011 wide glide. After about 2 blocks, she informed me that the stock seat just won't cut it. I've never been in the seat market before. Are you guys just going with the passenger pillion or a whole different seat. I am going to need something thats got a little more padding and a little wider than the stock one but don't want it to look clumsy on there. I already have the harley sissy bar on the way. Looking for some insight.
IMO, wait till you have the sissy bar installed, right now shes prob leaning forward to hold on to you, and once the sissy bar is on she can sit back.
Same with my wife, leaning back changes her sitting position and the seat pad has nothing to do with it.

Yup, damn nice seat and comfy for both rider and passenger!
