I took the girlfriend for the first ride on my new 2011 wide glide. After about 2 blocks, she informed me that the stock seat just won't cut it. I've never been in the seat market before. Are you guys just going with the passenger pillion or a whole different seat. I am going to need something thats got a little more padding and a little wider than the stock one but don't want it to look clumsy on there. I already have the harley sissy bar on the way. Looking for some insight.
I picked up the Vintage Solo Seat From Mustang with the Vintage Back Seat. Two Pieces. Looks Really good on the bike and the wife says the ride is way better. I think she made it about 4 days with the original.
If you don't want a riders backrest the HD Sundowner is a nice 2 up seat. Surprisingly it is not really that expensive.
I have both the Mustang Vintage 2 up seat ($600) and a Sundowner (around $250) and actually I think the Sundowner is the better seat if you don't want the riders backrest.

She can go way more than 2 blocks but she just pointed out right away that it wasn't as comfortable as the seat she was use to. I'm 6'3" so I'm scared any of the sundowner seats will put me to high up.
I have some Corbin 2 piece dual touring seats available if interested. Check there web site for pics. There the seats they used in the pics. My bike was the demo so they gave them to me.
