Springer front for my Street BOB
Ahhhh thanks bikerlaw.. Guess I mis read your post originally as I do most of the reading while watching TV.. Sorry..
Inspections aren't done down here on bikes nor cars. Maybe that's why there are so many cars without brake lights! But 99.8 percent of the bikes I have seen all have operating lights and safety features.
Never the less your bike still looks good..
But I do have a question about springer front end measurements? When it says plus 2 or minus 2. That means two inches forward or back? Or is it the height of the bars on the front end itself?
Always liked the look of a springer, but never really looked into them or studied them.
Thanks

Inspections down here suck. I'm from Chicago, and all they did there was car emmisions. But if your car didn't throw a check engine light, you were pretty much done. These maniacs down here have lost their minds!
Anyway, I digress. Most Springer companies consider 22 inches as stock. And go up and down in 2 inch increments. Thats 22 inches from the bottom of the bottom tree, to the axle nut. Paughco is the one company that measures the entire length of the Springer. No idea why, they just do. And do 3 inch increments. But no matter what you buy, use 22 inches as your stock mindset and determine what size "over or under" you want. The picture of my maroon bike was a 22 inch stock length DNA. And the rear was lowered as well. The black bike (same actual motorcycle) was a 3 over Paughco with stock length rear shocks. If i looked, I could probably find more pics of the maroon bike but they were all on photobucket. And I won't pay their extortion fee to get them. Lol
Ahhh... Thank you sir.
Many moons ago I lived in Louisville KY, I had a 69 Mustang and there they do the VET test. I had to lean out the gas for my car to pass.. Finally passed running pure alcohol with a little touch of moonshine.. I hated that test.
And you con post more pics of that springer..
