Just get a nice back seat and sissy bar back rest. Mine came with this big one, but I'm single and the only rides I've given the ladies aren't too far.
15,000 miles and totally reliable so far. I developed a vibration that turned out to be a loose motor mount at around 6000 miles, and the dealer diagnosed that and tightened it for free.
I love it for two up, and I've got it set up to haul plenty of gear. It's my daily commuter. I haul groceries on it. I date on it. I travel on it, and it's also my main hobby. Out of all the machines I have owned (motorcycles, cars, boats, whatever) this one has brought me the most happiness.
07 roadking 55k miles,10 roadglide 24k,wifes 09 fat bob little over 10k and a couple older dynas, no significant issues on any of them , had a alternator on the 07 dieand a voltage regulator on a duece but they have all been as reliable as any mechanical thing can be expected
Almost 30,000 miles and the biggest problem I had was one of the starter teeth busting but it was replaced under warranty a couple weeks after I bought it. Also had a primary leak last year which wasn't even all that bad but just bugged me.
Some minor problems were a melted battery post caused by a negative cable kept loosening up (loctite after getting a new battery solved that). I also had a front brake piston get stuck out and wore the pads unevenly down to the metal on one side but after replacing the pads and cleaning the dirty pistons it worked like new.
Lot less problems than some others have had. The guy at work has a Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 and he has had to replace the clutch, some transmission parts and it just recently went back to the shop for something else again. I believe we have close to the same mileage.
My wife and I ride my Dyna Street Bob all over and i'ts very confortable and dependable. I think you'll love the wide glide. And you should be very worried if your addicted to modifing cars, this site will give you enough ideas to empty your bank account within days.. but it's lots of fun.
