Absolutely! I have logged plenty of miles in comfort. Went to last years N/W Forum rally and I could hardly walk (bad L5-S1 disc) and I felt best on the bike (and in the evenings once the beer started flowing).

But maybe I'm just unlucky.
We get it, you're not happy and have had problems. You bought a used bike and although the service was done on schedule that does not fix any abuse the previous owner may have put the bike through. Sorry about your bad luck but you've made your point. Quit

The only problems I have really experienced with my bike is waiting 8 days for pulley bolts after the guys I got my pulley from sent the wrong ones with the pulley. I have ridden 900 miles without stopping, then pulled over for 6 hours to let the dense fog with zero visibility dissipate, jumped back on and rode the last 100 miles in 24 hours, without one problem and without any back/butt problems (could have kept going but made it home - 1K miles each way) so ride away!!!
A friend wants to ride 1 hour tomorrow morning so will oblige, hit the gym and then plan on a 6 hour ride in the afternoon. Love my Dyna!

My bike is a 2000. Turn Sig module repl when new under warr.
Other than that it has been TOTALLY trouble free.
I would leave for Florida today. No worries.

I have one each of the air cooled HD's. Never an issue with any of them. I got the 07 FXSTC in Sept of 06. Original battery. Only went to the dealer for the negative post guard on a recall.

The 010 Ultra bought new in Sept. 09 only went to the dealer for the stronger front gas tank mount. Put 10K on it with no issues.

Same goes for the XR1200 and Dyna SG. Not a single issue.

I'm sure glad that after four decades of riding metrics that I went to HD.

Life is good.

I might as well add the Buell. It's a 08 Ulysses and not a single issue with it either.

I should add that I do my own services including changing the tires when needed.

If you look at my avatar and signature you can see how much I ride the machines.

I am leaving in two weeks to do the Pacific Coast highway. Taking the Ultra. Going to Sturgis by way of Canada and will take the Softail for that ride.

01JUL11 - Back from the PCH , Death Valley and desert SW in 105 to 115 degree temps. Not a single issue with the Ultra for the 6,000 + ride.

Hey,

My Sportster 1200 is very dependable, 2008 bought 1st hand IE:2nd owner with 20K on it for 2 yrs, the bike was not even broke in and all I've had to do is change the oil , brakes and tires, great bike! No leaks or problems.

I understand this was not allways the case, glad they got it together as $35,000 would be a real waste.

Any feedback is appreciated!
I've had 4 HDs now- 2007 Nightster, 2009 Street Bob, 2009 Night Train (favorite), and just bought an 09 Fat Bob. While HDs from the old times did break down and you had to bring a bucket of nuts and bolts with you on trips, today's HD is not the same machine. I have friends who say, "well you are paying some for that name", all the while their metric bikes are full of plastic and look cheap after 4 or 5 years. And maybe HD is sitting on some old tech, but it is tech they have perfected and the Japs are still trying to copy. If you are going to buy a cruiser bike, HD is worth the money.

My 2010 Wide Glide has 14000 miles under it. Bought it last May with 3 miles on it. Only issue is keeping rubber on the rear. With the right seat you can ride forever. In the last 3 weeks she's been thru MO, KS, OK, TX, NM, AR. Over 3k miles in that time.
