I have the black ones from HF and no problem thus far. I've even rock the bikes side to side to see how secure they are, can't MAKE them fall over. I sit on them at times while I watch TV in the garage, all the while making "potato, potato, potato" and "vvvaarrooom" sounds

Default HF Wheel Chock

I have the same chock and I always strap the bike to the bar. Their is just too much movement with my bike not tie it. I have a black jack scissor jack I use with the chock and I still strap it. It's just a lot cheaper than paying for new paint, fixing dents in the bike or car, or the time for me to heal.

Same here......... I have to wonder if it was adjusted right for the tire. To the original poster, what size front tire you running?

This was my case as well, It did have a little sway with the stock 90/90/19.
However when I went to the 120/70/21 its soild. As I posted earlier I dont think I could push it over, well maybe, but it would take some effort, It certainly wont lean by its self.
As far as Harbor Freight goes, their rep is not very good , but some of the products are simple and solid.. I have had good luck with them.

It's a 2010 FXDC. Stock tire. Not sure the size but you can adjust the wheel holder for different size tires. I had it in a position where the tire fit perfectly. And yes [to the previous post] it was the black one. I know Harbor Freight might not be the best [went for the price] but it looked pretty solid. It never came out of the wheel chock. The bike was on it's side, arm up in the air, everything in place. When I put the bike upright everything was in position. Just a bad design I guess. Another thing is that it's very difficult to pull the bike out of the stand. Must be getting weak in my old age.
