I hear ya, i just got a Street bob with the Factory Detachable windscreen, I hate the looks of it on, but what a difference it makes in the ride. I am leaning towards selling it and getting a "Windvest" windscreen. Less of an impact "visual" than the HD version and from the reviews, just as effective.
love my memphis shades... check out my album... i think it looks great, and no, i wont ride without mine either
Shield looks good on your bike!
I've never liked windshields either, but the wind blows a lot around Corpus Christi, and the difference in riding comfort is huge with the shield vs. without.
I took it off one day for appearance, and immediately put it back on when I returned home. I think Memphis Shades did good with the Speed Demon, and the black tint on the bottom is the perfect touch.
I have a compact on my fxdc if you want to see one with a pic. I'm not a "large" guy so flying away doesn't appeal to me, although I would probably make a great kite
Detachable with locking kit worked for me, but everyone is different, and I too wear full face. I guess if I do fly, they can see I had a smile on!
Bottom line, make the Harley yours, and be comfortable.
+1 on the memphis shades. i know it takes away from the lines of the bike a little, but it makes the ride so much more enjoyable. especially when i hit the agricultural areas, who wants a face full of bees?

You gotta admit, those bees do ad some nice color accents to the black tint on the Memphis Shades.
