Wind Sucks! Windshield Time?
My last bike didn't have a windshield and I was like you. I toughed it out and told everyone that windshields are for sissies.
When I bought my 09 Street Bob, it came with a windshield. I was going to ride the bike home and throw the windshield in the garage. By the time I got home from the dealer (about 30 miles mostly highway), I was convinced. I am not taking this windshield off for anything. It is a Memphis Shades, so it looks as cool as a windshield can look I guess, but I don't ride without one anymore.
