I run the XIEDS and after 5k the plugs are as clean as new. Good gas milage, cooler, and easy to install. It is a good fix. If you do much more then AC and slipons you might need to install a tuner.

If I understand correctly, xied's are pretty plug and go? So essentially there should be no tuning required?

A tuner is a waste of $$ if all your doing is air filter and pipes, xied's will work just fine on a "stock" bike, and plan to keep it that way..

Side question, if one changes the pipes and AC, that's still considered stock?

XIED'S will work with pipes and air cleaner change.

My personal MPG was unaffected. My personal MPG is 43 overall. Once went to mid to high 30's but that was because I was going into a 30-40 MPH head wind, which is understandable...pushing the fairing, etc. through the wind.

Oil temps NEVER go above 230, and generally stay around 205-210.

Plug and play at it's finest!

Give him a call, VERY nice guy.

I HIGHLY recommend these.

I believe Harley Davidson refers to it as Stage 1.

I called Steve and he indicated a 25 degree nominal temp drop. I'm guessing this can very, but will I sense a temp drop on my thighs. I ask this because I recently put slip-ons on and the cycle now feels hotter than with the stock, and I could feel plenty of warmth then.

I just installed the night rider IXED on my 06 WG and rode it to work tonight. It does seem to have more power and run cleaner but my CEL comes on at idle. I was told by a very kowledgable tuner our bikes run in closed loop so the IXED were fine for a aircleaner and exhaust upgrade.
