Ignition Question
Hi All,
I picked up a used 05 FXDI last year. First fuel injected bike... The jury is still out.....
Anyway.... My main issue with this bike is that it did not come with a tach. Drives me nuts..... And being the cheap &%$#@&* that I am, I refuse to give Harley (They have enough of my money already) $300.00 for a tach kit when I can buy a new electronic tach for around $60.00.
My question is, what kind of ignition is on this bike?? If I remember correctly, Harley switched over to single fire ignitions in the early 2000s somewhere. But I can't seem to verify this or when it happened.
Figured someone here would know the answer.

My '07 is single fire and I could not get the $60 tach to work right even with the supplied adapter for converting the tach to work with single fire. The needle just had a mind of it's own.
