Default tach jumping

hi, need an issue resolved. Picked up a 1980 lowrider. Electric Tach is jumping all over the place. Bike has points in it with a 5 ohm coil. Is the tach sensitive to the ohm rating on the coil? Originally 3 ohm with electronic ignition. I dont believe the ohm rating is relevant. What do you guys think

Default Bouncing tach

Try checking all ground wires for tightness. Used to have an 81 L.R.
