Ive been searching but cant find any info in other posts.
I have a 00 dyna superglide and just ordered my Kuryakyn extended forward controls. Being 6 foot 5 I cant wait to get them and stretch out. My question is did anyone have fender clearance issues after installing them? I googled it and kuryakyn was the only kit that did not warn to check fender clearance before riding.
At 6'5" I hope you got the 3" extended controls. I'm 6'3" and the 2" forwards are still too short.
The extended Kury's are 3" at least part #9064 is.
As for the other manufacturers warning about fender clearance, it can't really be an issue. My fender clears the regulator by 4-1/4", the same distance as it clears my 3" extended forwards at full lock.
No issues withe the 9064 extended controls and fender on my 09 FXDC. I did, however, have to give up the engine guard in order to use the extended forwards.

They make guards that supposedly clear forwards, but I don't know about extended forwards. I'd be interested in knowing if one will fit.
On the other hand, I also have a Sputhe Positrack, oil cooler and fan behind it, so the front lower downtube area already has a lot going on. I'm probably out of luck.

i have the Forward controls with extensions, they came when I bought my bike (2012 Street Bob). I'm 6'2" and still trying to get used to them. Does anyone know what is involved to make them "regular" length? Is is just changing the linkages?
