According to the EZ Bracket website, that part number will work with a detach sissy bar...still kind of nervous about ordering though. I would love to see someone who has actually made it work. Maybe I need to be the guinea pig......
I assure you there is at least ONE (definitely more than one) person on this forum whose done it. There are other kits available. You can look into Cycle Vision Barebacks. They also have a model that works with detachable sissybar.
Wide glides use three bolts to hold the fenders on. Front two are saddle bag mounts, the front and rear ones are the sissybar mount.
I used the Harley quick release kit for the sissy bar and used bare backs quick release saddle bag mounting studs for holding them on. The back saddle bag mount will be blocked by the sissybar and will need to be notched to go over the bag mount. The bare back mount had to be spaced out to match the front mount.
I drilled my detachable side plates and mounted the EZ Bracket studs to the side plates, just take your time measuring, it's an easy job.
Use T-nuts on the back side so they are flush and don't scratch the strut covers, cut the bolts to length.
