I am currently running 12 inch baby apes and 3 inch risers. I would like to go a few inches taller. My question is, do I just switch to 14 inch apes w/ the current risers OR do I get a set of stubby 1" risers and go straight to 16's?
Either way I'm at 17 inches total rise, I'm just wondering which setup might look better on the Springer. Maybe it wouldn't matter, and thats OK, but I would like to hear some input either way.
Please advise.
I prefer the look of shorter risers and taller bars. Also if you go with the 16's and decide that is not tall enough you can always just add taller risers instead of starting over.
can we get a picture of the front end and bars. i think some springer fronts look good with taller risers. thats they only reason i would consider taller risers since you do have the springer. regular front end would be no question but to go with smaller risers taller bars.

FWIW, I decided to go with the low (1.5") risers on my 02 Dyna and then 18" Wild Ones chubby bars. 16's would have been fine too, but I noticed that with my 18's I never had an issue finding my bike in a crowd or seeing it from far away. Either way, I'm an apes fan and just got a 16" set to put on that '95 Heritage I picked up...
