Debating buying an 04 Super Glide. Bike has everything we're looking to get. Bags, backrest, nice seat, windshield, forward controls, etc. How would the ride be on this when we're two up? I'm 6', 225 lbs. She's 5'10", 150 lbs. Not going cross country, mostly just cruising around town and the occasional weekend trip in-state (maybe 150-200 miles). I know its not a touring bike. Most of the time it will be just me back and forth to work. Price issues keep us from looking at touring bikes. This one has 25k miles and is $7000. Drawbacks are carburated and 5 speed. Would rather have a 6 speed EFI bike, but cost is an issue. Your opinions are appreciated. Ride safe! Come to Muskegon Bike Time if you're close to Michigan. Google it. 3 days next month. Fastest growing bike event in the country.

 

You'll be just fine from what you described. Fine around town, though you may want to upgrade the shocks eventually.

My wife and I do 400-500 miles days regularly on mine. I'm 6' 230 she is 5'3" 130.

PS - These are the ORIGINAL touring bikes.

I'm not one for comparing good prices, but that certainly has all you will need, assuming it runs good.
