Default Wide Glide bars

How tall can you take the bars on a Wide Glide before the wires need to be extended?

Thanks

I just installed carlini 9" clean sweeps with no issues wires or cables. The difference in rise was not all that much though because of the stockers having the 4" riser and the bull horn bars having some rise in them as well. Best thing to do in my opinion (if you can) is take measurements of the old bars and new bars and compare them helped me out. Wires are the least of concern is the cables that will be costly. I installed mine with a buddy and took us a morning.

I'm swaping on a set of apes for a dude I know...12-14 including the riser...I'm guessing all the cables need to swaped by looking at the bike. Just wasn't sure how much wire is tucked up under the tank.

Everything i've found says that about 2" is all you can stretch with the stock cables and brake line. There is supposed to be about 6" of wiring that is under the tank so that wont be an issue. Hope this helps

Bingo, but with 16" apes i still think wires will need to be extended as well there is some extra but its probably like 4" extra cause you will want some slack you don't want it tight or it will bind and be difficult to connect. Good Luck sounds like your going to have to extend wires and replace cables.

14 is the tallest he would be going....so hopefully the wires will be long enough....can some one who went with a 12-14 inch ape chime in? I plan on using OE Street Bob cables cause I know they'll fit and can be had at a decent price.

I'd like to know too, I ordered new cables since i'm putting apes ...

The throttle and Idle cables doesnt seem to have much more lenght under the tank.

Stock bars, but with 3" of additional riser. I could probably do another inch.

i put 14" apes with 3.5" risers and i had enough length for wires. Just had to get longer cables.
