Yeah I had Z bars and risers but had to undo the bolt on the triple tree for the brake line, about 12- 14" in total I think on stock gear,

Yeah wires there is quite a bit of extra under there but cables not a ton of slack. So basically the OP's buddy is set with the cheap easy part but not the the more expensive (cables) part. Take your time and have fun learning.

Default Did you gave to change anything when you swapped the risers or is it all stock

Did you change anything at all with your risers changed and also with them being internally wired is it hard to unhook them and to change the actual bar

I had a 11 wide glide, did 10" t-bars. Only had to move the clutch cable to the inside of the frame.

I put 10" bars on mine and had to change the brake and clutch lines out to 6" longer than stock lines. All the electrical was plenty long enough.
