What year did they start drilling the bars for internal wires. And if anyone has some they take off to put some apes or other bars on I would be interested in the original take offs a Dyna wide glide that are drilled for internal wires. just send me a pm. Thanks
I THINK they started using the drilled bars with internal wiring on the 06s and later. These bars are also 1.25" in diameter meaning your will need to change your risers and clamp if you change.
The 05s and ealier used the same bars as the Street Bobs now have on them.
yeah i know already checked all that out. HD is wanting 147 for the bars new and with the risers and all
would put me some where around 240 if i get everything from the dealer. I am happy with the stock height and thought i could get out cheaper if i could find someone who was going with a different set and had their orginal take offs. I don't guess anyone has done it with the newer models yet.
I wanted the Wide Glide bars for my Low Rider, so I purchased custom bars from the stealer (not EXACTLY wide glide bars since I wanted internal wiring).
To make a long story short I didn't use the bars and still have them, they are 1" in diameter and are drilled for internal wiring. I can take pictures tonight for your review.
I'm running the wide-glide replacement bars on my sporty which come pre-drilled for internal wiring. My bars are by Khrome Werks and were only only $38.22 from http://www.discountcycleparts.com/xc...t_number=31017. Here are the specs.
These bars are identical to the stock wide-glide and street bob bars and are 1" so they will bolt right up to your stock riser.
Here's an angle profile shot of them, looks so much better with no wires showing.
