Another satisfied V&H Pro Pipe owner. Here's their Pro Pipe HO on my '06 Street Bob (88ci). To my ears it is the best sounding pipe I've ever heard on a Harley - and an awesome performer.
Before I bought it I had heard it on a late model Street Glide w/96ci on bike night. I'm not sure if that guy had hot cams or not but it sounded even better! I wish I could put this exact pipe on my '10 Heritage, but the Softail version mounts a little too high for the bags (arghhh!!!).
Sorry - no pic. The upload keeps bombing out. I've uploaded this same photo a few times here already without issue. I'll try adding it later.
The spacer I made is what is bolted to the swingarm. It is just a small piece of metal with 4 holes. I cut it, cleaned it up, and had it powder coated. I put thread lock and cut the bolts to make them shorter.
Thanks to LugoMS, I got my idea from him. I got a piece fabricated 5/16th stock, with 4 holes (2 threaded, 2 not). Didn't need bolts with nuts that way, just got 2 additional stock peg mount bolts (already with lock tight). The 5/16 gets you clear of the pipe, and you don't need the 3/4 spacer that comes with the pipes. Low enough that the peg mount at the frame, has enough clearance, so the damn fender doesn't slam into it when you hit a bump.

Reason: Pics instead of links
... oh ya. 17% increase in HP and TQ (along with a better breather and super tuner).
First one to send me an address gets my spare. I had to pay $75 (min) for fabricating, so I said make me 2. Not likely I'll ever need the second one, so I'll pay into karma by sharing .
Well and there you have it 2 1/2 pages naming every 2-1 pipe set available.
Truth is there isn't a "best", they are all made to compete with each other in the same market.
Sorry pal, but that's the way of it with many-many items for these bikes. As soon as a manufacturer finds an edge the next guy copies it and sells it for $2 less, everybody runs out and buys it, then a shortage happens and the price goes up $50 on all of'm.
