I have a 2002 DWG. The specs state that I should have a 5.2 gallon tank (including 1.1 gal reserve).
Yesterday I ran out of gas, luckily in front of a gas station. So I coast in and think "hey, now I'll see what my mileage really is." To my surprise, the tank only held 3.9 gallons...WTF?!
Anybody have an idea of what's going on? I do not have a tank lift.
That seems like a big discrepancy...Part of it may be the fact that the bike was on the jiffy stand when you filled it. Other than that, is the bike carbed or an injection model ? If it is carbed, you just need to switch to reserve, and if it is a fuelie, I don't have a clue other than the stand.
