Ignition relocation custom build w/pics
I had a post a couple weeks ago about key fob rubbing the frame, I do a little research here and there, end up doing my own ignition relocation. What parts do I need? Basically I only bought a switch from Phat performance parts, drag specialist part number DS272187, costs me $31.95, I found a car coil over spring aluminum plate kicking around my shop, cut it in shape, file and smooth the edges, paint it flat black and tap some threads for mounting the switch. I cut the top engine mount bracket a bit and make a mounting hole.

Sweet! I like the cowbell, but I believe I like that setup even better. Nice work!

It isn't hard to find something to cut up, you can get any 1/4" steel or aluminum plate, trim to the shape you like, it doesn't have to be round but I think round looks better than square. Get a 2 1/4" hole saw and a little bit of your own time, you're done. I recommend aluminum cause it is easy to cut, grind and file. Good luck!

That's cool, but what did you do with the horn? I took my key fob and attached it to a wallet clip, then wove a "key chain" for the key out of some 3mm (or smaller, maybe 2.2mm...don't remember) cordage. Just hang the fob from a belt loop. The powedercoat on the neck of my frame has marks from the fob rubbing on it, but its not getting any more.
