Default Big time electrical screwup
I decided to install some pull back risers on my 09 FXDC Super Glide. The handlebars that were on it had the wiring mounted inside the bars. So here's where I screwed up. I decided the easiest way to get all the wiring out would be to cut it, pull it and resplice it. No big deal. BUT, I forgot to disconnect the battery. No excuses, just plain dumb move. Got everything mounted and spliced. Time to test. Horn-check, left turn signal-check, hi-lo-check, right turn signal-check, start-NO CHECK. No nothing. Wont turn over, nothing. I have the H-DSSS tsm w/hfsm. Is there some way to reset the security? I'm the third owner and I have no way of knowing if it has a pin or not assigned to it. Please tell me I didn't fry something.

Have you checked the obvious? Fuses?

Not yet. I wanted to check the service manual first. I will do that first thing tomorrow. Thanks.

Got it. The starter button wire had pulled loose from the plug. Starts fine now. I hate tracing down wiring problems.

Glad you got it going.

Wiring issues tend to stress you out easily and it's real simple to overlook the basics.
