Screamin Eagle Chrme Fork Brace?

I wanted to install a Screamin Eagle Chrome Fork Brace on my 2010 FXDC, HD part# 46595-06A, however after reading the HD directions on their web site it states "Not recommended with chrome lower fork legs?" I have the HD chrome lower fork sliders installed on my bike! Will the fork brace not fit properly?....Confused?......

First, is your goal better handling or looks?
You will not gain any real handling improvement with the 49mm front end. They are pretty rigid already.

they said the same thing for my 98 fxdl. when i searched this at the time, looks like HD is concerned that it could scratch up the crome on the for dust covers. i did it anyway. looks great on my bike. i did it for both looks and a slight hope it would keep things a little tighter up there.
