auto tune ?

auto tune ?
I have a 2011 wideglide and i put on VH Bigshots, screaming eagle heavy breather, PC5 from fuel moto. I called them and got 3 different tunes and still have glowing pipes. Each time it gets better but still have them at idle. So my ? is any buddy running this setup what map are u running, would the autotune help with my problem. will the o2 senser that come with the autotuner fit on the bigshots, or would a dynotune solve this problem. Any advice will help. thanks

well if i was in your shoes i think i would just spend the money and put it on the Dyno

I know its expensive but id run the auto tune so I could keep the 02 sensors. And yeah you might need a dyno tune if you cant get the fuel mix tuned right.
I just changed my pipes out with a piggy back unit that auto tunes and I do not have the hot pipe problem. the unit I run is not a PC5 however.
My bike runs quite a bit cooler than it did. hopefully someone who is running your setup will post and give you some ideas . the PC5 is a very popular unit on the forum here.

take your computer and plug it into the PCV.
go to the powercommander website.
Under support click on the remote desktop support.
A tech will come on and ask you what are you issues.
with your permission he'll take over you computer, have you turn on your bike, check the setting. Have you start it and fix everything.
I did this for my decel popping and they got rid of it while I watched, it was pretty cool.

Oh and I'm running a ness big sucker and V&H short shots and no issues with heat of glowing pipes. Just your standard bluing pipes.

Might be something right there.
The stock gaskets are fiddly to get in and they can get bent out of shape but if you use a little copper grease when fitting they will go on easier and they do give a good seal.
The SE ones though are odd things in that, in my experience, they can be a lot worse than the stock ones. They can leak like mad. One fix is to fit two in each port but that's a bodge and I think you are better putting stock ones in.
If they are leaking then that may well be causing the pipes to cook like you describe.

it seems to do it at idle and at super low speed. Im going to give fuelmoto a call and see if they can tweak the map alittle or im going to do what JaronB did and give the tech at powercommarder a chance at it. I did notice the gaskets where thin compared to the ones that i put on my sportster but they had the right part number.
