Motor Mount or Engine Problem??

Default Motor Mount or Engine Problem??
I've got an 06 Street Bob and I've got a bad vibration/flutter when I haul in the clutch and give the bike a quick blurp of the throttle. At highway speed it seems fine but when i come to a stop sign and haul in the clutch and give the bike a shot of the vibration/flutter is very noticable. It vibrates very bad and then settles out. It idles fine. ANy ideas what this might be??

Also my front end seems like its pretty soft? Are these set up soft from the factory? It hits pretty hard on the front end?

Any info would be great! Thanks!

Anyone??? I dont think its the dreaded IPB issue because its more of a bad vibration/flutter. I may haul off the side cover and check the stator/rotor

Well as far as the forks go you might want to try a different velocity fork oil.

As far as the vibration, try taking a pry bar and lift up on the front of the motor to see if the mount has a lot of play in it before just tearing into your motor.

So use a pry bar on the front of the motor and see if i can push if back toward the rear??

See if it lifts upwards ............if it does, it is either loose or worn.

dont even need a pry bar if the motor moutn is bad to be honest push it. or have a buddy rev the bike you can see if it is jumping around too much or not

Sometimes you can see if the rubber is torn around the mount.

sometimes the motor mounts or more specifically the rubber in them wears out. Might need to replace one or both of these.

i have an 06 and replaced both of mine this year bud if that helps ya make the decision may be time to just pop in some new ones
