it's due for a fork oil change, he can go one step thicker to firm it up a bit.
The obvious tire pressure check and steering head bolt would be the place to start

Riser bushings do have play. I can move my bars back and ahead a little bit but the riser bolts are tight. I guess im going to have to order new bushings

That's normal, unless there is too much play to cause the riser to hit the triple clamp.

I have an '06 and it has been doing the same. My fork oil is fresh, I change it when I replace the tires. I adjusted the stem nut today and after a short test ride it was gone. I recall reading about a service bulletin that may have affected the '06 models, maybe requiring a different bearing but I'm not sure. The adjustment took about 15 min so I'll see how it holds up.

DId you just follow the procedure in the service manual?? I am going to check mine after work today
