300000 miles and counting!
Hard to say. Kind of depends on the bike, the conditions it is ran under, and the maintenance. Some bikes won't ever make it to 100,000. Some may go 200,000 before it needs serious attention.
It wasn't that long ago, a car engine usually needed to be rebuilt or replaced by the time they hit 100,000. Now days they last much longer. Usually.
One thing I do know. If you worry about it, you won't ride as much.
04, 30,000 miles, ain't even broke in yet. My brother's 04 RoadKing has 120,000 plus and he's never had to do anything except keep the fluids changed and the normal routine maintenance. He's on the road to South Dakota on it as I write this. I've never kept the same bike long enough to rack up those kind of miles on one but it's nice to know that it's achievable. Oh BTW, he's only ever used Harley oil and filters.
