I am still trying to work out the deal with the seller. Bike also has a small dent in the front wheel. He hit a pothole last week and just noticed it. It doesn't effect the integrity of the wheel or even the balance but it will need to be addressed.
I am really close and hopefully I will get this worked out and be picking up the bike on Sunday morning. I am surprised as to how much chrome the bike has and its all stock. It even has the stock Harley pipes on it. They are turn outs and they are loud and proud so obviously the baffles were removed or drilled out.
Wideglides are awesome looking bikes. It looks like a factory custom.
I agree, I love Wide Glides. Seller claims it "needs absolutely nothing", yet it's got a dented tank and leaky fork seals (as well as a dinged front wheel). Also, not sure why it needed a new belt @ 20k miles. I thought those things were good for at least 50k (haven't looked at the service interval). My buddy has a '93 FXSTC w/ 49k on it, and it's got the original belt. His '03 Road King has 55k on it, and also has the original belt.
Personally, I don't know if I'd buy something for that much money and immediately have to turn around and put several hundred into it. My buddy bought his '05 FXDWGi off a guy on this board last year for <$7k, w/ <9k miles. Lots of chrome and a custom paint job. I'd look around a bit more, the market is pretty soft right now.

I mentioned it to him. He didn't mention any of the issues in the listing. Seems like a straight up nice guy though. He brought it to the local HD dealer (who is very reputable) to get the bike checked out before he put it up for sale. They replaced the rear tire, did the oil, filter and primary fluid, they might of did the fork oil and that is why I saw some residual on the forks (he claims they do not leak). They also replaced the battery and they did the drive belt because its the orignal belt from 1996. It has 24K on it. Its too bad about the dent in the tank but I could deal with it over the winter. I can also pick up another front spoked wheel pretty cheap used. I wrench my own bikes so I am not that concerned. There aren't very many Wideglides for sale. I have been looking for a while. There are alot of Superglides and a fair amount of Lowriders but Wideglides don't show up much. Especially EVO powered ones. He is now thinking about my offer.
