So now the front and rear are lowered. I didn't go to crazy up front, a 2" spacer for just a 1" drop up front. I only rode around the block and the front doesn't dip and seems more solid. I can't wait to get more time in the seat and try it out. I also put the rear shock to the first pre-load and hit a few big bumps and no bottoming out or fender hitting with the 412 HD's back there.....yet. Plus a lot smoother from what I can tell is a 1/4 spin around the block.
Before...
After.....This is with the stock jiffy with no mods to it and my driveway slopes down, so it still works. I have a lowered jiffy already, but I didn't feel like putting it on tonight.
Looks good..flows well .. look even better when you done the front
..the rear light sticks out like a sore thumb tho'.. kuryakyn do a neat low profile smoked led that fits closer to the contours of the fender...
Yea I've looked at those. I just can't spend $250 on a tail light just yet. Low on the priority list. One day I may take it all off and fill it. We'll see. Cams are high priority for this years winter lay up. Maybe sooner if things work out.
i jusst lowered my 11 street bob with progressive. I got to say... the look is amazing... and I love having both feet planted for a change. The ride is pretty harsh. I made the mistake of changing my seat to a lePera solo the same week I lowered the bike. Not a good way to get used to the new ride.
It's my first Harley. Relatively new rider. I love the bike. I love the new sit height. I love the look. I'm not a huge fan of the stiff ride... especially on the highway. I put the stock saddle back on this week.. and that definatly helped. Does anyone have any suggestions to soften the ride? Especially the front. What do the pvc spacers do? I was looking into a Corbin solo ? can anyone compare this seat to the stock for me?
