I received my Stage 1 A/C and Power Vision (PV) from Fuelmoto a couple of days ago. The A\C install was a 15 minute job. I did not mount the PV at this time so I just downloaded the tune into the ECM. That took all of 5 minutes. I haven't had a chance to ride it more than 20 minutes so far, but I already can feel the difference.
I have had the PC3 in the past and this PV is by far the simpler solution. Since I am a computer geek I will be mounting the PV at some point and going over the log files it creates to see how things are working.
I have compared both the Fuelmoto tune and the tune on the dynojet web site for my bike set up using the PV software. They are different with the dynojet tune being a richer mixture in more of the throttle band. Has anyone tried switching back and forth between the fulemoto suggested tune and the dynojet suggested tune?
dyno jet tunes tend to be on the rich side from everything I have heard and read. the fuel moto tune would seem to be your best bet for best performance and gas mileage too. On all the dyno jet carb tunes they ran much better but also just killed the mileage. Id try both tunes if you want to but if the fuel moto tune runs good why mess with it. ? just my two cents YMMV.
I took a chance and ordered the below (plastic) mount from Amazon for my new PV. I have a FXDL so I was able to lift the fuel and tach mount and run the wire under it and through the fuse panel. Clean install and I love seeing all the ECM readouts. If you want pics let me know but the link below should give you a pretty good idea.
I got the PV 2 weeks ago and i love it. I have it mounted on the handlebars and set up one of the gauges as a RPM gauge. Saves me from adding a tach in the future so to me i'm saving money with it since it does so much more than just retune the ECM. Now to save up more cash to get my Roland Sands air cleaner i want.
The power vision is very popular here with the amateur and driveway mechanic crowd who just want to ride without much fuss. There are tuning tools for about the same price with much more capability, but for the average Joe I think the power vision is pretty good package.
