Trans fluid = old milk?

Well, I think it may have gotten in through the fill plug. The o-ring didn't look to be in that great of shape. Hopefully it hasn't done any component damage <fingers crossed>. I looked through the sevice manual and it specifically says "don't use any solvent to the transmission components" but does say to take the trans oil pan off an use solvent to clean that. Guess I'll need to get a new seal for the pan and new o-ring for the dipstick.

That's not RTV. That's thread sealer. Two different things. Teflon tape is similar, but the thread sealing compound is better, but a little messier.
