I know we've been all over this discussion. I have 10" risers and drags with a mustang solo seat. It's nice, however I'm not in love with it. I feel myself being pushed forward and sitting on the rear of te seat. I'm split, do I want to swap seats, or bars. I love the way most apes look, but on my narrow front end I'm sceptical. For my 6'1" frame, what is the beat seat bar combo you've used. Lets see pictures too....
I've switched bars and risers and T-bars about 6 times before I found what suited me. I'm 6'1" and have a Mustang wide seat now and have had it for the past year while I played around with bar widths, heights and pullbacks.
I finally settled on T-bars that have 8" rise, 7" pullback and 31" width. I found them at J&P Cycles, part #500-883, made by Milwaukee Twins.
I've had better handling set-ups, but they became uncomfortable real fast, I've tried more pullback, but my arms weren't at their optimum elbow angle for control and strength. I've been there, but I've also spent a lot of time racing off-road, so know how big of a difference a set of correct bars can make.
The same ergos as my chosen T-bars can probably be matched with risers and bars, but I really like the looks of some of the MX bars, they will always be my favorite bend.
